Sparkling Ice announced its first Cheers to Heroes campaign On April 13th, 2020.

Sparkling Ice, made by PNW beverage company, Talking Rain, has launched a national campaign and contest to bring recognition to America’s hometown heroes. To truly honor and celebrate these everyday superstars from across the nation, Sparkling Ice is asking consumers to nominate a friend, peer, co-worker, or neighbor who is considered an everyday hero. The selected contest winner(s) will win a cash prize. 


How the Contest Works

The Cheers to Heroes campaign was created to celebrate and give back to both local and military heroes.

Throughout the campaign, Sparkling Ice is holding a contest and sweepstakes to honor veterans, first responders, nurses, janitors in hospitals, grocery store workers and many others who put their own lives at risk to go to work and serve the public during the unprecedented time of COVID-19. In a statement, CEO Chris Hall pointed out that Americans have worked hard to come together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and care for one another in the recent months. He said that Talking Rain, the parent company of Sparkling Ice, has a focused mission to give back to the community and provide much-needed support for those Americans who make so many daily sacrifices.

Hall added that Talking Rain and Sparkling Ice hope the Cheers to Heroes campaign will bring some much-needed joy and happiness to all of America’s communities.

The Cheers to Heroes campaign contest launched on Monday April 13th. Individuals from communities across the United States can nominate a deserving friend, family member, neighbor or colleague for a chance to win $10,000. Submissions are allowed now through June 14th.  During the entire month of July, people can cast votes for the candidates of their choice. At the close of the contest, Sparkling Ice will identify the top three submissions. The hometown hero with the highest vote count will be announced as the winner of the Cheers to Heroes contest on August 7th, 2020. As part of the Cheers to Heroes campaign, Sparkling Ice has partnered with the Honor Flight Network, a non-profit that supports veterans, to release limited-edition case wraps and a new Fruit Punch flavor. These patriotic-themed wraps are being sold in retail stores across the country to promote Honor Flight and the Cheers to Heroes campaign contest.

Sparkling Ice has worked with Honor Flight Network for five consecutive years to raise over $350,000 and sponsor more than 350 veteran trips to the nation’s capital. Currently, the Honor Flight Network is serving Vietnam War, Korean War and World War II veterans. Although the network has temporarily paused flight trips due to the pandemic, it plans to resume as soon as health officials say that it is safe to do so. The Honor Flight Network made this decision to help protect veterans.
